Alden Mitchell Budill is the Head of Global Partnerships and Content Strategy for Crunchyroll, the world’s most popular anime brand with more than 100 million registered users and four million subscribers. In this role, Budill is responsible for building direct to consumer partnerships across streaming platforms and connected devices, along with exploring new business opportunities with both traditional and digital content creators.
With more than twenty years in the industry, Budill has developed and refined a deep proficiency in global business development, distribution, marketing and advertising models for both traditional and digital media. Most recently, she served as the Senior Vice President and Head of Distribution for Pac-12 Networks, where she was responsible for growing the Pac-12’s reach and engagement with sports fans worldwide.
Prior to joining the Pac-12, Budill worked at major media companies including Discovery Communications / OWN, Viacom, Time Warner, and Disney. Over the course of her career, she has led strategic growth initiatives ranging from international business development to traditional domestic distribution to the development of new content formats and direct-to-consumer business models.
Budill has an A.B. in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
