Rafael Urbina-Quintero is the General Manager and Executive Vice President of AVOD Streaming at Univision Communications Inc., the leading Spanish-language content and media company in the U.S., and Chief Executive Officer of VIX. In this role, Urbina oversees the company’s ad-supported streaming services including PrendeTV and VIX, which combined deliver tens of thousands of hours of programming to U.S. Hispanic and Latin American audiences. Under Urbina’s leadership, Univision accelerated the launch of PrendeTV the first and only streaming channels-based and VOD service created specifically for U.S. Hispanic audiences. Urbina also oversees VIX, the largest VOD streaming service for U.S. Hispanic and Latin American consumers. As CEO of VIX, Urbina led the acquisition of VIX by Univision in January of 2021.
